Common Questions

Before you book

What are the spicules, exactly?+

Naturally derived from freshwater sponges, purified to 99.5%, they create micro-channels in the skin without any needles or device.

How many sessions will I need?+

A course of 4 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, is generally recommended, with 6 to 8 sessions for body areas.

Is there any downtime?+

Skin can be red and slightly sore afterwards. Peeling or dryness often begins around day 3 as the spicules and dead skin shed.

How is this different from regular microneedling?+

There's no needling device and no numbing cream required. One session is considered comparable to roughly three traditional microneedling sessions.

Can this be combined with other treatments?+

SQT is generally not combined with other treatments in the same session, aside from LED photorejuvenation.

Is it safe during pregnancy?+

It isn't recommended during pregnancy. If breastfeeding or undergoing other medical treatment, a quick check with your doctor first is advised.
